Glenn Turner, Director, Oracle Attractions, Australia’s leading Laser company, was contracted to supply the company’s signature act ‘The Laserman Experience’ and additional lasers for the XIX Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony in Delhi last week.
Oracle provided eight (8) high‐powered Oracle T4 10watt Green Laser Systems complete with control equipment and software.
Glenn Turner, who has over 15 years experience in the laser and entertainment industries, provided the technical expertise and direction ‐ supported by Barney Fitzhardinge, Oracle’s Chief Engineer ‐ to bring the laser performance segment together. Under the Oracle technical direction, the Oracle equipment worked faultlessly in the difficult conditions of extreme heat and humidity.
“We faced many unique challenges. Not only was there the extreme heat and humidity, and the technicalities of bringing together 8 individual performers using the latest in laser technology ‐ but to come into such a large scale event at this late stage brought it’s own set of hurdles to overcome” Glenn said.
“We had to get it right, first time. There was no room for error. The great thing about our gear is that the quality and reliability is such that we could do this”. Glenn said.
Glenn Turner also performed the internationally award winning performance ‐ The Laserman Experience ‐ alongside three other Lasermen from France. The four (4) lasers for the Laserman performers were supplied by Oracle.
Oracle also provided four (4) additional lasers for the Fabric Dance segment– A performance developed and choreographed by Australia’s Tracy Bourke and Geoffrey Rose.
Oracle Attractions are the exclusive distributors of ‘The Laserman Experience’ in Australia and New Zealand.
