Oracle Attractions was commissioned to supply and install a laser for the INNUEVRE
show, staged eight times per week in the Showroom theatre of the Conrad Jupiter’s Casino
on the Gold Coast of Australia. Commencing in October 98,
The concept was a 3-minute high impact laser effects display within the hazed darkened
environment.

The show takes advantage of the full color capabilities of the Oracle Septor laser system
and always Wows! the crowd during show time. With the room smoked out using haze machines
and fans, the laser projects from the rear of the stage and sweeps giant multi-colored
fans of light through the audience. There is no seat in the house that does not become
immersed in laser light during the performance. The three-minute segment explores various
modes like fast chopping lines to smooth moving circles with rainbows running around them.
The laser can be hard and fast or slow and gentle as the music accentuates the experience.
Oracle Director Paul Mazlin and artist Warren Liang produced the creative in a week of
midnight to dawn programming sessions two weeks prior the opening.

The system was designed to be fault tolerant considering the demanding performance
schedule. The show utilizes two Spectra Physics 168 mixed gas white light lasers in a
custom built Oracle Septor dual scan laser system. Each laser has its own complete optical
and electronic sub systems including separate power supplies, control boards, crystal and
driver and scanners. There are also two cable runs from the computer in case of a cable
fault. The program was written to use both heads, each creating different effects to
create a bright, full color show, however, should one head fail a special backup show
file was created so the normal two head show could be run on Head 1 or Head 2 depending
which system is down. It is fairly rare that problems occur but when they do, the show can
continue as normal while Oracle technicians fix the problem.
