Oracle was commissioned to upgrade an existing failed installation in the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai. An Oracle Septor 3.5 watt full colour laser system was installed and the show was prepared. The installation was in a specially designed laser theatre that features a dancing fountain installation, indoor waterscreen and two other electric scrims. The 15 minute show also has a smoke machine and some conventional lighting.

The show was to be produced with audio, lighting and water effects. The show is about the elements, earth, fire, water and their part in life. The client brief was to make everything automatic since the local staff did not know much about laser systems. Using a custom built signal buffer and relay unit, the entire installation was controlled from one computer. Once the laser is turned on, the operator need only press the start button to operate the entire show.

The end result was a spectacular multimedia show which is very easy to operate and requires almost very little user maintenance. The show is still running daily and is very popular within the theme park.
